In India, dalit students are discriminated against in school in multiple ways. There is a posting with link to video interviews of dalit children where this is exposed. Of course that is an example. The illtreatment of dalit children in government funded and non-government funded schools continues. Dalit children have to sit at the back of the clbutt or outside the door. They have to use separate glbuttes for drinking water and are abused trivially. The drop out rate among dalits is very high due to these practices in rural India. The video has a poignant example of a girl from gujarat, who describes why she stopped going to school.

Incorrect marking of dalit students in examinations, where upper caste teachers know their dalit idenbreasty is pervasive and extends upto PG levels too.

When one fills job application forms, many a time a EEO, AA and diversity section comes up, where one can submit details of idenbreasty, presumably for EEO, AA and diversity procedures to operate. I know that the request-submission is voluntary, but the practice is quite common. Let me know if this is not true.

I know of two caste discrimination cases in USA last year.
