Well, I was a teen once, and I had no interest in being a teen mother, or being pregnant at all, so I was very very careful. I never did conceive, so don't know what I would have done for sure. I can imagine praying to miscarry though, if I'd conceived in my teens. I can imagine dancing or jumping or doing all sorts of "pbuttive" things to miscarry, so that I wouldn't have had to go to term, or tell my folks, or have an end. I'm a huge supporter of adoption, having adopted both of my girls, but I didn't have the strength or forethought at that age to consider it, if I had gotten pregnant. I would have had an end. My father is against end, so it would have been a very difficult time for me, since I lived with him. I remember specifically when I was about 22, realizing that I finally felt "old" enough to have a baby, should I have accidentally gotten pregnant. I was finally at the age that I would not have had an end, even though my life was not set up to have a child. I probably should have considered adoption at this point as well, but since I never actually got pregnant, it was only theoretical.

Keep in mind, I didn't say most teens would have an end. I just don't think that MOST teens, when peeing on a stick and seeing a + sign are likely to be thrilled with this news. I think MOST teens feel relief when the HPT is negative, or their periods come late. I don't think my feelings are that far fetched. Are there teens who get pregnant and are happy about it? Sure. Are there teens who actually want a baby and ttc? Sure. But what gives you the idea that most teens feel that way? Just curious. --
