Three hour GTT results

Well, I had the 3-hour GTT test yesterday. Damn, those pokes hurt when you don't have food in your veins! It didn't help that the girl who did the pokes couldn't get it right.

Anyway, I saw my doctor after the 1-hour blood draw and before the 2-hour blood draw, and I was feeling fairly optimistic since she said the 1-hour looked good. I called after I'd been home several hours, and I am a gestational diabetic this time around. Geez, talk about all kinds of things going on with this pregnancy! I believe I'll be talking to the dietician today.

As for the rest of the visit, things looked well. Baby's heartbeat was 160, I've gained a pound in two weeks, and I'm measuring where I should be. My blood presssure was somewhat elevated, but I wasn't surprised by that and they weren't worried.

Tried posting this on 7-30, but it didn't go through. Trying again... Joybelle me some I drink guess the snack advice...

We do have a consult to see a doctor about this baby's clubfeet! I'm excited about that. This doctor is supposed to be following the Ponseti Method (which my oldest was treated with for her clubfoot), so I'm interested in meeting him.

I'm so, so tired of going to the doctor, and sadly, the frequent visits have only begun. :( I think I'm having a tough time pulling from my homebirth ideal! *sigh* Oh well, I'll keep plugging away. :)
