Circe
I'll second that! The heat index is currently 109 where I am (hallelujah for air conditioning!) and it has been FABULOUS to be in the pool - I'm headed straight there after work. My ankles unswelled (although they swelled right back up again before I made it to the locker room, but you can't have everything), my hip pain disappeared, my back discomfort disappeared... and I could MOVE again. It's lovely. The first time I got in the water pregnant, which was about a week ago when my discomfort finally outweighed my fear of maternity swimsuits, it felt sooooo good that I cried.
The only downside is that I feel twice as pregnant when I get out as I did when I went in - you get used to feeling good after you've been in for a bit, and then feeling heavy and unwieldy again is twice as hard. The last time I was there (last night) I got out gradually, instead of getting out quickly, and that seemed to help a bit. I wonder if the health club would just let me stay in the pool until I go into labor...
