Sarah, Some babies have reactions and some don't. I don't believe in medicating "just in case". Here is what I'd do -- I'd not give her anything before her first set of shots, and see how she reacts. If she has a bad reaction, then I'd give Tylenol 30 minutes before her next set of shots, and from there on out, if it helps. If you medicate her before this first set of shots, you'll never know if it was the medications that helped, or if she was one of those babies who didn't have a reaction to the shots.
Both of my girls had no reactions long term -- each cried during the shots and for a moment or two afterwards, but once comforted and consoled by me, where fine for the rest of the day and beyond.
You don't know how your baby will react until you've tried it. Good luck. --
