mc over, TMIIt wasn't what I expected. I'd been set up to expect hours of cramping and buckets of blood. What I...
Please don't be judgemental when formula is mentioned. There are those of us who cannot physically bf. I know a lot of you are saying "Yeah Right" right about now, but you can check my previous post to see my whole story. I worked with 3 different LCs, used the huge Medula pumps every 3 hours, and this last birth even tried the Rx (something starting with an R). After 2 weeks even the LC's told me to go to formula when DD kept losing weight (same result with my previous attempt). I cried for the first couple of bottles but I did pump for the next 2 months adding in my little half an ounce (after 20 minutes of pumping on each side) to each one. I still enjoy reading this group b-c there are good threads. I'm looking into starting solids in the next couple of weeks (DD is 5 months old) and came across this thread (I think that is another misconception. Just b-c she is on formula does not mean I jumped on the solids track at 4 months). Yes I to do not understand why more women do not bf. I would give anything to. I went as far to upset myself saying if we were pre-formula days my girls would have starved.
Yes I do agree that this post did not belong in a BF group but I applaud those that offered thier support anyhow. Aren't we all parents? It still takes a village to raise a child. Since most don't have a village for support, groups are the next best thing.
