My largeness
I have an OB appointment on Monday and wondered what you thought. I measured my fundal height last night, but in my "noviceness" I am not sure I did it completely...

Well, there you go - I'm at term!!

CY I think it has nothing to do with your perhaps delivering early (unless you think your dates are way off...

Everything hunky dory healthwise, and I checked with doc that the hospital rooms have birthing balls (they do), so I don't have to bring my own. Also, GBS neg, hurray! Baby's head is further down than two weeks ago - last time it was "still floating a bit - I can push it up out of the pelvis" and this time it was "pretty far in there." Oh, those doctors and their high-fallutin' medical terminology ;)

Here's what she told me about "when to come in" - if your water breaks, but it's clear and baby's moving happily, don't sweat it. If you see evidence of meconium, the breaking water is followed by fast intense contractions, or your water breaks and the baby stops moving, come in right away. Then she basically told me "you're not going to miss labour. When the contractions are strong and regular and close together, come in before the idea of a car ride is unbearable." Or something along those lines.

I mentioned that I'd like to know what kind of epidural I had last time, since we're not sure if it contributed to The Rash or not, and she said it wasn't in my file but that in the unlikely event that I decided I needed one, we would discuss it with the anaesthetist at the time. I feel good about that. She then reiterated that she figured it was unlikely to happen, so that's all good (I mean, *I* know it's unlikely to happen, but I'm always pleased to see my doctor with the same atbreastude).

Sometimes there just isn't data
Well, my kiddo managed to be *that* unique. If there's a case report on an identical deletion, I've yet to see it. Which could be good--it may...

So, I'm starting my Ninth Month tea today with the doctor's blessing - motherwort, nettle, blue cohosh, red raspberry leaf.

I'm also trying out some aromatherapy ideas now, trying to gauge what I'll want during the at-home phase of labour. I didn't use anything last time, but I think now it would have been nice. I can't stand lavender, and have mixed feelings about a lot of florals, so I'm trying out a blend of peppermint and eucalyptus right now, with a bit of tea tree thrown in (mostly b-c I have it on hand for the post-partum phase) - used too much peppermint and it smells like after dinner mints in the house now! I am thinking about getting something citrusy to go with either the peppermint or the eucalyptus (or both?), but don't want to break the bank experimenting - and I haven't found any pre-blended stuff I like.

Any suggestions? I'm not a big aromatherapy person, I just like nice smells :)
