toypup I wonder if it makes a difference what kind of juice it is? We used to keep 100% not-from-concentrate OJ as an alternative to soda (which we...

If you think juice is nothing but calories, no nutrition, don't-give-it-to-your kids, evil stuff, don't answer this question. I already know it is sweet without much nutrients.

Ericka Kammerer I would tend to agree - I've seen something similar happen with my niece, where her Dad thought it would be a nice treat to give her chocolate milk for a change, except of...

We went to the ped today for DD's wbv. She is 50 percentile height, less than 50 percentile weight. Doc asks how much juice she drinks. I said 2 serving per day. He said she should be drinking less than half a cup. With DS, he told me to cut back the juice because he wasn't eating well. I told him it didn't seem to affect her appebreaste much. He said he thought it might affect her the other way and make her fat. This doesn't seem to be a problem now. She eats a lot (more than other kids of all ages at her daycare), so she must drink a lot. Her diet is mostly very nutritious. She drinks lots of water, I mean lots. So, for the amount of fluid she gets in a day, I don't think 2 bags of 100 percent juice Capri Suns is much. DS doesn't drink nor eat as much, so juice is more of a problem for him. Considering weight is not at all a problem ATM, considering she is drinking way more water than juice, should I cut back?
