*Hillary Israeli *That's easy; then he wouldn't be allowed in the pool. And since the *pool I'm thinking of is private, you presumably would have read the *rules and concluded that you shouldn't join for that reason.

I'm sure you're right. There is no way he'd WANT to go in if he had to wear a diaper. I mean, I wouldn't either so I wouldn't blame him!

Looking for a swimming pool for toddlers 2234
I just did a quick search for you. I don't know if any of this is near you, but here you go: No. 681: Public pools...

*It really is the few that makes it miserable for the mbuttes, you know. *(And I'm certain that you're amongst the mbuttes who wouldn't dream of *letting your child in a public pool sans diaper unless you were darned *sure s-he was trained.) But most pools are tired of having to close *down and clean fecal matter because mom-dad swore that Junior was *trained, and didn't need a diaper. So pools have randomly selected *ages at which children are almost surely trained, and required diapers *until that age.

That's insane. I mean, one of my friends has a six year old who still needs pull-ups out of the house and overnight. Does that mean pools should now make everyone up to age six wear swimmies?

contradicting your spouse in front of your kids
Hi everyone, I know that one of the cardinal rules of parenting is that you never contradict your spouse in front of your kids. But what...

*that means diaper in the pool). So while it may be somewhat draconian *to force older kids to wear swim diapers, I understand why its done.

I don't, I mean, I think the rule should make sense. What makes sense is, diapers until actually trained. The rule as it stands forces trained children to be publicly humiliated, and doesn't prevent the problem it aims to prevent (because people will still lie and say their child is older than it really is, to get around this, or they will lie and say their older child who isn't safe in the pool actually is, or whatever). Just my opinion of course. I don't swim much in public pools. We have enough pools among our family and friends that we don't usually need to.
