I'd hate that too; I've never been dragged through an instance but I did have a higher-level player take me through a hard (for me) quest.

I'm sure the other player thought she was helping, but I did not enjoy it at all. I was still so low-level I really had no idea what was going on, and basically just followed along behind her and her friend while they end everything. They told me "roll for chest" and I had no idea what they were talking about; they explained how to roll and I did, but I didn't know why.

They both seemed to feel they were doing me a favor; I felt they were doing me a disservice by rushing me through something that I could have learned from. I think it would have been far more helpful if they'd just gone with me while I did the quest, buttisting and healing, rather than running ahead and basically doing it for me. After it was over I said thanks and claimed I had real-world obligations.
