I feel I need to mention that there is a much easier albeit longish way. This way allows you to grab a lot of flight paths along the way which will come in handy later. If you haven't already been to Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands, head east out of Ironforge to Loch Modan. Grab the flight path at Thelsamar. Continue following the road past Thelsamar and through the tunnels at Dun Algaz to the wetlands. Follow the road through the wetlands until you reach Menethil Harbor and grab the flight path there. Take the right-most dock to the boat to Darkshore. Once there, grab the flight path in Auberdine and then go back down to the dock and take the other boat to Rutheran Village to grab the flight path there. If you want to, you can go into the red glowing portal to visit Darnbuttus. Take the Hippogryph back to Auberdine from Rutheran Village and start running south down the road out of Auberdine. Eventually, you'll reach Astranaar. Grab the flight path at Astranaar and keep heading south and east along the road. Eventually, you'll come to a fork in the road with a road sign that points to the Barrens. Go south towards the barrens. When you see a big wall that looks horde-ish, stop. Look to the left of the gate and you'll see a breach in the wall that you can go through without getting attacked by the horde guards. Head south down the gold road towards the Crossroads. Don't get too close to the crossroads or you'll get end by the guards. Once you see the crossroads, start heading left (east). You'll see an eastbound road heading out of the crossroads. This is the road to Ratchet. Once you reach Ratchet, you can take the boat to Booty Bay. Grab the flight path at Booty Bay and then go buy your fishing book from Old Man Hemming for 1g. Once you're done looking around Booty Bay, you can use the Gryphon Master to fly back to Sentinel Hill. Hope this helps.
