I have been to Gnomerigan 3 times and hate it so far! That place is jinxed!
Gnomeregen is jinxed 515Burt Johnson The place is fine, all the woes you're describing are the result of other players. There's at least one strong factor that works against you: Gnomer is big, probably 3 times...
I play with PUG, and have very good luck on other instances. The first PUG in G that I did broke up after 10 minutes as two of them had to leave for dinner!??
The next PUG (the next day) for G were so mbuttively incompetent that I kept having to rez everyone as we had repeated near wipes. Then our warrior fell over a wall and died. I looked down and saw he was among a pile of +4 elites. He was too far away to rez, and I couldn't get near him. Then a mage in the group disappears. Comes back a few minutes later and says he had computer problems. Then goes away again. Meanwhile, we are down to 3 and our rogue goes off an picks a fight and dies, needing rez again.
I told that group that the incompetence was too extreme to continue. I rezed the one guy I could reach, and then left. First time I have ever abandoned a PUG in an instance, and I have absolutely no regrets over leaving those idiots!
The third time (last night), the leader wants to enter before the last 2 have arrived. Since the first section isn't too hard, I go along. As we get into it further, the last two still haven't arrived and aren't on my map. When I ask where they are, one says he is finishing up his AH stuff in SW and the other says he is flying in from Menethal Harbor and just got on the gryphon!
We had a group wipe a minute later. I told them this was foolish, and left... :-(
