Affording My MountSCraig a ˇcrit : I was miner-eng with my priest and gave up on mining as a money maker - nodes were camped too much and the server was too young...
Today, as the post suggests, I had what I consider to be the one of my best PVP experiences to date. I was grinding in the Alterac mountains (I was a lvl 35 undead priest, just a few bars from leveling) when I spotted a lvl 35 night elf priest. The confrontation begins almost right away. We both appear to be shadow speced, but I believe being undead gave me an edge to the battle. I win, mostly taking advantage of devouring plague, silence, and fears, but he keeps on coming back. I won most of the battles, the final "score" being 9-2, but although he slowed down my grinding, he definetly made it seem less of a chore. Let me just say some highlights of the battle.
He goes invisible!!! (potion I'm thinking because I didn't see any other engineering trinkets come into play) and fears me into a group of orges, my first rest.
He MC's me into a group of Orges, but it breaks and they come after him, pretty fun thing to see.
I sort of developed a strategy for when I believe a pvp encounter will be likely. I simply mind blask, mind flay, pwp, touch of weakness, vampric embrace, and wand to rest. I'm mainly trying to keep my health-mana up so I'm not caught with my pants down. Several times my nemisis got the drop on me (he was really sneaky, I don't even know where he came from half the time) so I would simpy mind blast (or whatever I had to do to finish of the the mob) silence him, and slap on devouring plague, and begin the battle. All in all it was a really fun experience, and I hope I get in similar situations in the future.
